Ten extraordinary concerts featuring orchestras, ensembles, and small bands will bring jazz to Rome throughout the holiday season

During the festivities, Rome changes pace, and Casa del Jazz does it in the best way: from 20 December 2025 to 6 January 2026, Christmas in Jazz returns with a program that traces the roots and evolution of jazz, from dixieland and swing to bop and cool.

The setting couldn’t be better: an intimate yet high-energy venue just steps from Caracalla and Circus Maximus, where live music is a year-round staple. It’s a brilliant alternative to the usual holiday plans—an evening here can make you feel like you’re in New Orleans, while still in Rome, with a mix of elegance, wit, and pure groove.

The 2025 lineup is designed like a journey: it starts with the most festive, roaring sounds of early jazz (perfect for getting into the spirit), continues with a spotlight on young talent led by Mario Corvini, and reaches the end of the year with concerts that blend virtuosity and on-stage chemistry. In January, the series resumes with the Cotton Club Orchestra—a tribute to the great big-band tradition—and closes with Conosci Mia Cugina?, a swing show that reimagines Italian jazz from the 1930s, ’40s, and ’50s.
